- Brendan Martin28.01.2018★ ★ ★ ★ ★This was my first time visiting tomaree mountain. The walk was very scenic with beautiful views overlooking the port stephens area.
The hike to the top was quite steep but quite manageble. The pathway to the top is paved brick with handrails and seating placed around so that you can sit down and have a rest if needed. As you get near the top there is a metal staircase with safety railing so that the climb can be achieved quite easily.
I took the route that takes you past fort tomaree and I found it very interesting checking out the old gun encampments built during world war 2.
When you get to the top the view is amazing, I would highly recommend doing this walk if you are visiting the port stephens area.
